Deck overview

This deck is a Simic +1/+1 counters midrange deck helmed by Sab-Sunen, Luxa Embodied. The strategy focuses on accelerating mana during the early turns to cast Sab-Sunen ahead of curve. Sab-Sunen acts as both an indestructible combat threat and a reliable card draw engine by drawing two cards whenever it receives an odd-numbered counter on your first main phase. The deck leverages heavy counter synergies, proliferation, and counter doublers such as Kalonian Hydra, Railway Brawler, and Forgotten Ancient to build massive trampling threats. It secures victory by eliminating opponents sequentially through combat damage, explosive infect bursts with Triumph of the Hordes, or alternate win conditions like Simic Ascendancy. A focused suite of cheap hexproof spells and countermagic protects key pieces from opposing interaction.
