Kozilek, the Great Distortion by Sereus

Format: Commander

Commander: Kozilek, the Great Distortion

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This colorless Eldrazi deck, helmed by Kozilek, the Great Distortion, combines explosive artifact ramp with a dense stax package to lock opponents while deploying massive threats. The primary game plan is to accelerate mana via rocks like Sol Ring and Mana Vault, reduce costs with Eye of Ugin and Urza's Incubator, then cast high-CMV Eldrazi such as Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger and Emrakul, the World Anew to win through annihilator and combat damage. Kozilek provides card draw on cast and a conditional counterspell ability, acting as both a value engine and defensive piece. A secondary fast win condition is the Dark Depths + Thespian's Stage combo, creating a 20/20 indestructible flyer as early as turn 2. The deck also leverages recursion via Codex Shredder and Portal to Phyrexia, and uses symmetric board wipes like All Is Dust to reset the board. Stax pieces such as Winter Orb, Trinisphere, and Void Winnower slow opponents, allowing the deck to outpace them with overwhelming mana and threats.
