Deck overview

Cloud, Midgar Mercenary commands a focused mono-white Equipment Voltron deck that converts combat triggers into overwhelming resource and damage advantages. Cloud enters the battlefield on Turn 2, immediately tutoring any Equipment card from the library to hand. Once equipped, Cloud doubles every triggered ability from himself and attached Equipment. The primary plan pairs Cloud with equip-cost cheats such as Forge Anew, Sigarda's Aid, and Ardenn, Intrepid Archaeologist to attach high-impact artifacts like Colossus Hammer, Genji Glove, and the Sword of X and Y cycle without tempo loss. Critical onset arrives on Turn 5 when an evasive, double-striking Cloud attacks, generating doubled card advantage, land untaps, and lethal commander damage. Opponents are eliminated sequentially across consecutive combat turns, closing the game around Turn 7. The deck is shielded by dense instant-speed protection, ward, and silence effects, though it remains vulnerable to coordinated artifact sweepers and edict effects.
