Commander: Thantis, the Warweaver

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Jund deck is helmed by Thantis, the Warweaver, a forced-combat commander that compels all creatures to attack each turn while growing itself. The strategy revolves around goading opponents into battling each other, accumulating value from deaths (Braids, Arisen Nightmare, Korvold, Fae-Cursed King, Mazirek, Kraul Death Priest), and leveraging landfall triggers (Moraug, Fury of Akoum, The Gitrog Monster) for extra combats and card advantage. The deck also features a big-creature subtheme with Apex Devastator, Giant Adephage, and Vaevictis Asmadi, the Dire to close out games. The primary win condition is combat damage, either through commander damage from a pumped Thantis or overwhelming board presence from token generation and copied creatures. No infinite combos are reliably assembled; the deck relies on value accumulation and inevitability.
