Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis discard control and planeswalker attrition deck commanded by Nicol Bolas, the Ravager. The primary strategy focuses on systematically stripping opponents of resources through targeted discard, wheels, and continuous sacrifice effects. Early turns establish mana acceleration and discard-reward engines such as Waste Not, Liliana's Caress, and Tinybones, Trinket Thief. During the midgame, casting Nicol Bolas, the Ravager, Tergrid, God of Fright, or Dark Deal severely depletes opposing hands while generating massive card flow, mana, and stolen permanents. Once opponents are empty-handed and resource-starved, the deck protects its board with efficient counterspells and pivots to a decisive finish using Torment of Hailfire, Bolas planeswalker ultimates, or heavy aerial attacks from dragons and insect tokens generated by The Locust God.
