Deck overview

This is a Jund group-slug deck helmed by Yurlok of Scorch Thrash, designed to punish opponents for having unspent mana and untapped lands. The primary game plan is to deploy a suite of punishment enchantments (Manabarbs, Sulfuric Vortex, Citadel of Pain, Power Surge) and hate bears (Harsh Mentor, Ruric Thar, the Unbowed) that chip away at life totals, then accelerate the clock with Yurlok's ability to dump mana onto each player. The deck's real knockout punch comes from an infinite-mana combo using Yurlok, an untapper (Seeker of Skybreak, Quirion Ranger, Scryb Ranger, Magewright's Stone), and Staff of Domination - once assembled, it generates infinite colored mana, draws the deck, and finishes with Torment of Hailfire or Exsanguinate. The deck also has a backup plan of grinding out value with Xantcha, Sleeper Agent and Kaervek the Merciless while Dosan the Falling Leaf protects the combo turn.
