Deck overview

This competitive Simic deck uses Grolnok, the Omnivore as a card-advantage engine and win-condition outlet. By combining fast mana acceleration with self-mill loops, the deck dumps permanent cards into exile with croak counters and plays them directly to close out the game. Its primary combo pairs Basalt Monolith with Mesmeric Orb to mill the entire library, exiling all permanents into the croak zone. From exile, free artifact mana enables casting Thassa's Oracle for an immediate same-turn victory. If Grolnok is unavailable, redundant lines like Kinnan, Bonder Prodigy with Basalt Monolith or Selvala, Heart of the Wilds with Umbral Mantle generate infinite mana to draw the deck via Staff of Domination. The list protects its fast Turn 3 clock with premier countermagic such as Force of Will and silence effects like Allosaurus Shepherd and Veil of Summer.
