Deck overview

This deck uses Jace, Multiverse Architect as a value engine rather than as a compact combo commander. The main sequence is to develop lands and two-mana rocks, establish an expendable permanent, cast Jace, and use its -3 to exchange that permanent for a creature or planeswalker from the library. Cards such as Archon of Cruelty, Archfiend of Despair, and the Nicol Bolas planeswalkers give the exchange a high ceiling. The deck has strong mana fixing, broad removal, and several sources of card selection. Its main weakness is that the required pieces are not consistently assembled together, and the first cheated threat is not automatically lethal. The deck therefore begins creating a must-answer board around turn 6 but has no dependable fixed-turn finish. It wins through accumulated planeswalker advantage, repeated attack triggers, token pressure, and expensive haymakers. Protecting Jace and maintaining enough mana for interaction are central to successful play.
