Deck overview

This deck is a five-color Villain typal midrange build helmed by Thanos, the Mad Titan. It leverages Thanos's unique Power-up ability to execute a discounted, one-sided odd or even board wipe on the turn he enters, clearing opposing battlefields while preserving Thanos as a 6/6 deathtouch lifelink threat. The 99 features a synergistic core of Marvel Villains utilizing the connive mechanic, where Iron Monger, Sadistic Tycoon and Leader, Super-Genius rapidly grow the team with +1/+1 counters and card advantage. Blink spells like Teleportation Circle and Ephemerate repeatedly reset Thanos to trigger additional discounted wipes. Backed by top-tier free interaction spells, deep tutoring, and asymmetric sweepers such as Raise the Palisade and Kindred Dominance, the deck establishes commanding board control on Turn 5 and systematically closes the game through overwhelming combat damage by Turn 8.
