Deck overview

Lathril, Blade of the Elves leads a Golgari elf-tribal deck that wins by turning a wide token board into a one-turn kill. The plan is to deploy early elf mana like Llanowar Elves and Priest of Titania, cast Lathril, and convert her combat damage into a growing army of Elf Warrior tokens. Doubling Season accelerates the board, while Craterhoof Behemoth, Finale of Devastation, Overrun, and Coat of Arms provide the mass-pump finish. The deck also has a drain angle: Lathril's activated ability, Shaman of the Pack, Mirkwood Bats, Nadier's Nightblade, and Exsanguinate can close games without combat. A small equipment package including Swiftfoot Boots, Shadowspear, and Sword of Fire and Ice protects and powers up Lathril. The commander is the engine: if she is kept off the battlefield, the deck slows dramatically, but the elf shell can still generate value through Imperious Perfect and its lords.
