Commander: Fire Lord Azula

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is a Grixis spellslinger deck built around Fire Lord Azula's attack-triggered Firebending and her unique "copy every spell you cast while attacking" clause. The plan is to land Azula, swing, and dump instants and sorceries during combat so every burn spell, ritual, and card-advantage piece resolves twice while the Firebending mana pays for the flurry. Payoffs like Vivi Ornitier, Niv-Mizzet, Parun, Longshot, Rebel Bowman, Thor, God of Thunder, and Ashling, Flame Dancer convert the doubled spells into table-wide damage, while Thousand-Year Storm, Prismari, the Inspiration, and Twinning Staff escalate copy count further. A single registered combo line (Niv-Mizzet, Parun + Curiosity) and an Underworld Breach escape engine provide non-combat finishes. The deck plays as a mid-game combat-phase storm deck that protects its turn with free counters and redirection.
