Deck overview

This Golgari deck utilizes Ygra, Eater of All as a central engine and lethal finisher. By turning every creature on the battlefield into a Food artifact, Ygra weaponizes symmetrical artifact removal spells like Creeping Corrosion and Fade from History into devastating, one-sided board wipes. These wipes simultaneously eliminate opposing creatures and inflate Ygra into a massive threat capable of lethal commander damage in a single swing. Backing up this Voltron pressure is a robust aristocrats engine featuring cards like Mirkwood Bats, Marionette Apprentice, and Cauldron Familiar, which repeatedly drain the table as tokens and creatures are sacrificed. The deck also contains an infinite drain combo in Exquisite Blood and Sanguine Bond. While highly explosive once established, the deck relies heavily on its 5-mana commander, features primarily sorcery-speed interaction, and requires protection spells to shield Ygra from exile and bounce effects.
