Deck overview

This Naya deck is commanded by Toph, the First Metalbender and centers around land animation, Earthbending mechanics, and aggressive landfall synergies. Toph turns nontoken artifacts into lands and animates lands into scaling haste beaters that return to the battlefield tapped if destroyed or exiled. The deck accelerates through early 1–2 CMC mana dorks and land search spells, establishing Toph on Turn 4. From there, it transitions into overwhelming midgame combat threats such as Bumi, Unleashed, Avatar Kyoshi, Earthbender, and Moraug, Fury of Akoum. Built-in recursion on Earthbent lands provides natural protection against conventional creature board wipes, making asymmetric sweepers like Planar Outburst devastating for opponents. While the deck lacks stack-based countermagic, its high density of independent finishers and resilient mana engine allow it to rebuild rapidly and close out games through overwhelming combat damage by Turn 8.
