Deck overview

Lightning, Army of One commands an aggressive Boros Equipment Voltron deck built around combat damage amplification and attack repetition. The strategy deploys Lightning by turn 3 and equips her with high-impact armaments like Colossus Hammer, The Reaver Cleaver, or Buster Sword. Because Lightning features native first strike and trample, her Stagger ability triggers during the first strike combat damage step, doubling all regular strike and subsequent damage dealt to the defending player. The list uses cost-cheating engines like Sigarda's Aid, Puresteel Paladin, and Hammer of Nazahn to bypass heavy equip costs. To protect its combat investment, the deck runs dense instant-speed protection and turn silences like Grand Abolisher and Voice of Victory, backed by a flexible Sunforger toolbox. An infinite combat backup line featuring Combat Celebrant and Helm of the Host provides an alternative win condition when primary commander damage is stalled.
