Deck overview

Sidisi, Regent of the Mire leads a focused Mono-Black Aristocrats and Reanimator strategy engineered around Birthing Pod-style creature progression and compact graveyard loops. The commander serves as a repeatable tutor-to-battlefield engine, sacrificing low-cost recursive fodder like Gravecrawler and Bloodghast to climb a dedicated mana-value ladder. The primary win condition centers on an infinite sacrifice loop utilizing Gravecrawler, Warren Soultrader, and a drain outlet such as Blood Artist or Ayara, First of Locthwain, which can be set up in a single cast via Buried Alive. In parallel, the deck wields oppressive creature control through Grave Pact attrition and a hard lockout combining Maha, Its Feathers Night with Night of Souls' Betrayal or Kaervek, the Spiteful. Bolstered by resilient reanimation options like Reanimate and Victimize, the deck easily shrugs off targeted removal, pivoting seamlessly between combo finishes, heavy devotion drain with Gray Merchant of Asphodel, and asymmetric board suppression.
