Deck overview

This deck is a combo-control build centered around Mairsil, the Pretender. Mairsil operates by exiling artifact and creature cards with cage counters from the hand or graveyard to acquire their activated abilities. By utilizing graveyard tutors such as Buried Alive and Unmarked Grave, the deck rapidly dumps specific combo packages into the yard. Primary among these is the Aetherling blink engine for protection and resetting Mairsil's once-per-turn activation clause, the Asmodeus the Archfiend card draw burst, and the game-ending extra turn loop featuring Anthroplasm and Sage of Hours. The supporting cast provides cheap mana ramp, targeted interaction, and sweepers like Toxic Deluge to keep opposing boards in check until the critical cage package is assembled.
