Deck overview

This is a Grixis spells-matter deck built around Fire Lord Azula, aiming to turn the combat phase into a one-shot "storm turn." The plan is to deploy early firebending mana pieces, cast Azula, attack, then use the red mana her attack trigger produces to chain instants and sorceries during combat. Because Azula copies every spell cast while she is attacking, a single Crackle with Power or Comet Storm can be multiplied by Reverberate, Flare of Duplication, and Twinning Staff into table-killing damage. Backup engines like Sozin's Comet, Firebending Student, Ozai, the Phoenix King, and Avatar Roku, Firebender generate enormous combat mana, while flash enablers such as Borne Upon a Wind, Leyline of Anticipation, and Tidal Barracuda create the mid-combat casting window. Nexus of Fate provides extra-turn reach, and Fated Firepower / Overwhelming Victory are secondary combat amplifiers. The commander is the engine, but the 99 carries most of the actual kill pieces.
