Deck overview

This deck executes an aggressive creature-cheat game plan led by Kaalia of the Vast. Kaalia sits in the command zone, allowing you to bypass the hefty mana costs of massive Angels, Demons, and Dragons by putting them directly onto the battlefield tapped and attacking. The deck pairs Kaalia with decisive combat payoffs such as Master of Cruelties for sudden player eliminations, Avacyn, Angel of Hope for board protection, and extra-combat threats like Aurelia, the Warleader and Bloodthirster. Supporting equipment and silence effects like Lightning Greaves and Grand Abolisher safeguard Kaalia as she attacks. While the deck possesses immense burst damage and uncounterable permanent deployment, it depends heavily on Kaalia connecting in combat and runs a low land and ramp count that makes hard-casting high-cost creatures difficult if Kaalia is repeatedly removed.
