can I pet that dawg? by isadgell

Format: Commander

Commander: Sophia, Dogged Detective

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Sophia, Dogged Detective heads a Bant token-and-counter army that floods the board with Dogs, Foods, and Clues, then converts that mass into card advantage and a wide combat kill. The core engine is Sophia's attack trigger creating Food and Clue, fueled by token doublers and +1/+1 counter multipliers like Peregrin Took, Branching Evolution, and Hardened Scales. The deck also leans on blink effects such as Phelia and Mischievous Pup to reuse enter-the-battlefield Dogs, while counter-based protection spells keep the board intact through wraths. The secondary path is a value grind: generate Clues, sacrifice them for cards, then use Tangletrove Kelp or mass pump to finish. The hidden commander is Rinoa Heartilly, whose Angelo token and attack-trigger anthem can end games if left unchecked.
