Deck overview

This deck is a mono-black control and combo build headed by Kaervek, the Punisher. It uses an extensive suite of low-cost interaction to trigger crime abilities continuously, recycling removal and card advantage spells directly from the graveyard. The primary win condition is the two-card combo of Professor Onyx and Chain of Smog, which drains all opponents of their life totals in a single turn via infinite Magecraft triggers. Backup win conditions include creating infinite 1/1 Pest tokens with Sedgemoor Witch and Chain of Smog, storming through the library with Bolas's Citadel, Sensei's Divining Top, and Aetherflux Reservoir, or locking out opponent draws using Maralen of the Mornsong alongside Opposition Agent.
