Elf wishes and dreams by sup3rbuddha

Format: Commander

Commander: Lathril, Blade of the Elves

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a classic Golgari Elfball deck helmed by Lathril, Blade of the Elves, built to flood the battlefield with Elf tokens, generate absurd amounts of mana, and finish with either a massive Craterhoof Behemoth swing, Finale of Devastation, or the commander's own life-draining activated ability. The mana base is packed with an unusually high density of creature-based ramp - Priest of Titania, Elvish Archdruid, Circle of Dreams Druid, Marwyn, the Nurturer, Bloom Tender, and Seedborn Muse - turning the deck into a critical-mass engine that can explode from a few Elves into a lethal board in a single turn. Lathril herself acts as both a token generator and a finisher: ten tapped Elves end the game, and Doubling Season/Parallel Lives turn her combat damage into an army. The deck is a midrange-combo hybrid that wins through combat and drain, with considerable redundancy in its Elf-lord and mana-dork roles.
