I Need a Hero!

Format: Commander

Commander: Captain America, Team Leader

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Jeskai Hero tribal beatdown deck helmed by Captain America, Team Leader, who functions as a lord - granting entering Heroes haste and vigilance while distributing +1/+1 counters across the team. The primary plan is to deploy a wide board of Heroes, supercharge them with counters and anthem effects (Door of Destinies, Patchwork Banner, Avengers Assemble!, Champions from Beyond), and close out through combat, often accelerated by Savage Beating for double strike plus an extra combat phase. Card advantage comes from Kindred Discovery, Jarvis, Earth's Mightiest Butler, and Avengers Assemble!, while Director Nick Fury and Herald's Horn reduce Hero costs. Secondary lines include Hawkeye, Trick Shot's ETB pings, Winter Soldier, Reborn Avenger's recursion, and the modified-creature payoffs in SP//dr, Piloted by Peni and Arana, Heart of the Spider. The deck is a fair, midrange tribal strategy with no infinite combos.
