Deck overview

This Abzan deck is a dedicated Toughness-Matters Aggro list led by Felothar the Steadfast. It leverages low-cost defender creatures with oversized toughness stats (such as Shield Sphere, Wall of Junk, and Fortified Rampart) as aggressive beaters. Once Felothar enters the battlefield, all defenders can attack and assign combat damage using their toughness rather than power. The deck breaks parity on combat math and utilizes asymmetric board wipes like Slaughter the Strong and The Battle of Bywater, which eradicate opposing boards while leaving its 0-power army intact. Felothar also functions as a potent draw engine, turning sacrificed 0-power walls into massive card bursts.
