Deck overview

This deck is an Esper Aristocrats Control deck helmed by Nevinyrral, Urborg Tyrant. The strategy focuses on controlling the board state through a dense suite of efficient sweepers, targeted exile removal, and low-cost countermagic while assembling a dedicated creature sacrifice engine. The primary win condition revolves around an infinite drain combo utilizing Warren Soultrader, Gravecrawler, and a drain outlet such as Zulaport Cutthroat or Wayward Servant. Buried Alive and reanimation spells like Victimize assemble this engine quickly, typically enabling a decisive finish around Turn 5. If the primary creature loop is interrupted, the deck pivots smoothly to alternative lines, including Approach of the Second Sun or a secondary loop with Nim Deathmantle, Ashnod's Altar, and Grave Titan. Teferi, Time Raveler and cheap counterspells provide robust protection during combo turns, while Nevinyrral acts as a resilient deterrent and board wipe from the command zone.
