Commander: Tyvar the Bellicose

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Tyvar the Bellicose is a single-faced commander and the deck's central engine: his triggered ability turns every mana-producing creature into a +1/+1 counter battery. The primary plan is an Elf-dork ramp shell that produces huge amounts of mana, converts that mana into enormous tapped creatures, and closes with an all-out combat step-usually Triumph of the Hordes, Stonehoof Chieftain, or Ulvenwald Behemoth overrun. Secondary paths include Lathril token/drain, big Eldrazi/beatstick recursion, and suspended Crashing Footfalls. Tyvar Kell and Elvish Archdruid are backup pieces. There is no hidden commander; Tyvar Bellicose is the only engine the deck is built around.
