Deck overview

This deck is a mono-white stax and token midrange strategy led by Elesh Norn // The Argent Etchings. The game plan establishes early board control through efficient hatebears like Drannith Magistrate, Thalia, Guardian of Thraben, and Archon of Emeria, slowing down fast combo and multi-spell turns. Simultaneously, low-cost token generators such as Skrelv's Hive and Oketra's Monument build a wide board of sacrifice fodder. On Turn 4, you deploy Elesh Norn, taxing any damage dealt to your permanents. On Turn 5, you spend three mana and sacrifice three creatures to transform her into The Argent Etchings, instantly creating five 2/2 Phyrexian artifact creatures. Over the next two turns, the Saga grants your army +1/+1 and double strike before executing a one-sided board wipe that destroys opposing non-Phyrexian, non-artifact permanents. Robust protection spells like Teferi's Protection and Clever Concealment ensure your board survives to deliver lethal combat damage.
