Deck overview

This is a general-power Orzhov life-gain and Vampire deck built around Sorin of House Markov // Sorin, Ravenous Neonate. The commander rewards gaining at least three life, then supplies a planeswalker with food creation, a life-based damage ability, and extort. Supporting creatures such as Tithe Drinker, Cliffhaven Vampire, Markov Purifier, and Marauding Blight-Priest turn life gain into drain or cards. Sanguine Bond, Well of Lost Dreams, and Bolas's Citadel provide stronger late-game payoffs. The deck has solid land access and several useful removal spells, but many key cards cost three to six mana and enter tapped or need other permanents. Its tutors are expensive and do not all cover the same roles. It can establish meaningful incremental pressure around Turn 8, but it lacks a compact, protected, and consistently accessible finish. Defensive taxes may slow creature decks, while Phyrexian Reclamation and reanimation spells help rebuild after removal.
