Deck overview

This is a Grixis spellslinger deck built around Anhelo, the Painter's casualty 2. The plan is to create sacrificial fodder, then sacrifice a power-2+ creature each turn to copy the first instant or sorcery cast, turning draw spells, removal, and huge token spells into two-for-ones. The deck maximizes this with copy amplifiers like Double Vision and Twinning Staff, plus a deep graveyard-recursion package via Kess, Dissident Mage, Cormela, Glamour Thief, and flashback spells. It wins primarily through overwhelming copied token waves from Army of the Damned and Dread Summons, copied life-loss from Damnable Pact, and incremental recursive value. There is no compact infinite combo in the list; instead, the deck grinds ahead on copy-stack explosions and board presence. Kess, Dissident Mage and Cormela, Glamour Thief function as "hidden commanders" when Anhelo becomes too expensive to recast.
