Deck overview

This deck is an Izzet spellslinger burn strategy led by Veyran, Voice of Duality. The primary game plan revolves around deploying cheap damage-dealing creatures such as Electrostatic Field, Firebrand Archer, Guttersnipe, and Erebor Flamesmith, and then doubling their triggers with Veyran's Magecraft ability. The deck runs a dense package of one-mana cantrips like Ponder, Preordain, Brainstorm, and Consider to rapidly churn through the library, triggering continuous waves of global burn. While burning the table, Veyran grows into a massive combat threat that can eliminate players through evasion spells like Slip Through Space and Crash Through. The deck protects its board with an extensive suite of efficient counterspells including Counterspell, Negate, and An Offer You Can't Refuse, alongside spot creature removal like Pongify and Lightning Bolt. Although it lacks infinite combos and proactive stax pieces, the sheer density of redundant pingers and cheap spells enables a consistent, fast-closing clock.
