Deck overview

This Esper kindred deck harnesses The Ur-Sphinx to reduce the casting cost of all Sphinxes and changelings straight from the command zone. By combining low-mana changelings such as Changeling Outcast and Mothdust Changeling with dedicated cost reducers like Urza's Incubator and Heartless Summoning, the deck accelerates into devastating Sphinx engines well ahead of the normal mana curve. Unesh, Criosphinx Sovereign acts as the primary engine, turning every subsequent creature into a mini Fact or Fiction to rapidly churn through the library. An expansive suite of efficient interaction, featuring Mana Drain, Dovin's Veto, Void Rend, and Anguished Unmaking, protects the board and answers opposing threats. Once a critical mass of high-toughness flyers is assembled, asymmetric sweepers like Raise the Palisade and Kindred Judgment clear ground and air blockers, allowing the Sphinx fleet to close out the game in rapid combat rotations.
