yeeshtola

Format: Commander

Commander: Y'shtola, Night's Blessed

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This control deck uses Yshtola, Nights Blessed to generate massive card advantage and steady life drain while locking down the board. The plan is to stall opposing combat steps using pillowfort enchantments like Propaganda, Ghostly Prison, and Solitary Confinement, backed by an extensive suite of counterspells and spot removal. Yshtola continually refills your hand whenever opponents lose life, rewarding you for casting higher-cost control spells and drain spells. The primary win conditions include the infinite soldier token and enter-the-battlefield loop of Abdel Adrian, Gorions Ward with Animate Dead, steady life drain from Enduring Tenacity and Papalymo Totolymo, or a game-ending Exsanguinate.
