Deck overview

This is a UW "big-hand" commander-matters deck built around Gregor, Shrewd Magistrate. Gregor's skulk makes him nearly unblockable - most blockers have greater power - and each connect draws a number of cards equal to his power, so the entire deck is built to make him huge, unblockable, and double-striking. The payoff stack is dense: Teferi's Ageless Insight and Vnwxt, Verbose Host double every draw, Psychosis Crawler converts that draw into table-wide life loss, and Empyrial Plate, Righteous Authority, and Auriok Bladewarden inflate power to feed the trigger. Hand-size threats like Body of Knowledge, Sturmgeist, Chasm Skulker, and Homunculus Horde provide alternate beats. A heavy instant-speed protection suite (Teferi's Protection, Mithril Coat, Gods Willing, Shore Up, phasing effects) plus pillowfort in Propaganda, Ghostly Prison, and Archangel of Tithes keeps the engine alive. The deck wins by drawing a massive pile and draining with Psychosis Crawler, or by landing a lethal unblockable double-strike commander hit.
