Deck overview

This Golgari deck uses Blech, Loafing Pest to convert repeatable lifegain triggers into +1/+1 counters across an army of Pests, Bats, Insects, and Spiders. Built around Golgari token generation and drain mechanics, the deck establishes an early foundation with 2-mana ramp and low-cost lifegain creatures like Bogwater Lumaret and Kazandu Nectarpot. On Turn 4, Blech lands to begin swelling token power whenever life is gained. By Turn 5, high-impact payoffs like Blossoming Bogbeast, Beledros Witherbloom, and Mirkwood Bats accelerate the clock, threatening lethal trampling combat damage and table-wide life drain across Turns 6 and 7. The deck also carries a compact infinite combo in Exquisite Blood paired with Sanguine Bond or Starscape Cleric as an alternate path to victory. While vulnerable to heavy board wipes, its built-in recursion and backup token engines ensure steady mid-game pressure.
