Deck overview

This deck is a high-velocity Gruul Voltron deck built around Wolverine, Best There Is. Wolverine features a potent passive ability that doubles all damage he deals, meaning he effectively needs only 11 base power to eliminate an opponent in a single hit through commander damage. Dense one-mana ramp allows Wolverine to enter the battlefield consistently on turn 2. The strategy then layers +1/+1 counter engines, trample enablers, and multiplicative combat cards such as Jeska, Thrice Reborn, Berserk, and Embercleave to execute lethal single-target strikes starting on turn 4. Cards like Kediss, Emberclaw Familiar and Chandra's Ignition convert Wolverine's massive single-target output into table-wide lethal bursts. The deck defends its aggressive curve with an efficient suite of one-mana protection instants while leveraging fight spells to control opposing blockers.
