Deck overview

This Boros equipment deck is helmed by Lightning, Army of One, a cheap commander whose Stagger ability doubles all damage dealt to a player you hit until your next turn. The deck aims to suit up Lightning with powerful equipment like Sword of Feast and Famine, then chain extra combat steps to multiply that doubled damage across all opponents. The core plan is a combat-oriented infinite-combat loop using Aggravated Assault paired with the untap trigger from Sword of Feast and Famine - once running, Lightning attacks repeatedly, each hit dealing doubled damage, and the mana from untapped lands fuels the next activation. Secondary win paths involve Buster Sword for free spells, Embercleave for double strike, and a dense suite of equipment tutors to find the pieces. The deck leans heavily on artifacts (roughly half the nonland cards), making it vulnerable to mass artifact hate, but its low curve and strong protection suite give it a fast, focused game plan.
