Deck overview

This deck is a thematic Phyrexian tribal and proliferate midrange list commanded by Atraxa, Praetors' Voice. Its primary strategy revolves around establishing initial poison counters on each opponent during the early turns using efficient toxic creatures like Skrelv, Defector Mite, Pestilent Syphoner, and Dune Mover, or non-combat spells such as Prologue to Phyresis and Vraska's Fall. Once poison is distributed, the deck casts Atraxa on Turn 4 to begin passively proliferating each turn cycle. Mid-to-late game turns introduce compounding pressure via planeswalkers like Vraska, Betrayal's Sting, heavyweight Praetors such as Elesh Norn, Mother of Machines and Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite, and secondary proliferate tools. The deck achieves table-wide lethal poison around Turn 8 through steady combat and counter progression. While it lacks fast mana, tutors, and infinite combos, it maintains strong board presence, solid mid-game recovery, and punishing late-game attrition.
