Blight Curse by rmiller

Format: Commander

Commander: Auntie Ool, Cursewretch

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Jund -1/-1 counter synergy deck, helmed by Auntie Ool, Cursewretch, is a grindy value engine that turns every -1/-1 counter placed into cards, tokens, and life drain. The commander draws cards when you put counters on your own creatures and punishes opponents when you counter theirs. The deck leverages wither, proliferate, and mass counter placement to generate overwhelming board presence through Nest of Scarabs, Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons, and Flourishing Defenses. Its primary win condition is an infinite combo: Devoted Druid + All Will Be One for infinite damage, or a Yawgmoth, Thran Physician loop with a token generator. Secondary paths include combat lock via Kulrath Knight and reanimation from Necroskitter or The Reaper, King No More. The deck is resilient against creature-based strategies but lacks stack interaction, making it vulnerable to combo and control decks.
