Deck overview

Led by MacCready, Lamplight Mayor, this Orzhov deck leverages a dense array of low-power creatures to establish an aggressive combat and aristocrat engine. MacCready turns small utility creatures into evasive threats by granting skulk on attack while deterring counterattacks with a punishing life drain tax against power 4 or greater creatures. The deck breaks parity on combat and board presence using asymmetric board wipes like The Battle of Bywater and Dusk // Dawn, which eliminate opposing threats while leaving the player's board intact. Supported by token generators, value engines like Welcoming Vampire and Tymna the Weaver, and life-drain amplifiers such as Commissar Severina Raine, Delney, Streetwise Lookout, and Bloodletter of Aclazotz, the deck continuously pressures all three opponents simultaneously. Efficient spot removal, death-trigger insurance, and mass reanimation via Raise the Past provide sustained resilience.
