Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy Rakdos spite and Treasure burn strategy centered on Smaug the Impenetrable. Because Smaug is an 8/7 flyer with built-in indestructible and haste, it turns symmetric damage board wipes and self-targeting burn spells into explosive bursts of mana. Casting sweepers like Blasphemous Act, Star of Extinction, or targeted spells like Cut Propulsion generates 13 to 20 Treasure tokens in a single turn while clearing away opposing blockers. The deck converts this immense artifact volume into immediate table-wide damage using burn engines like Mirkwood Bats, Reckless Fireweaver, and Marionette Apprentice, or channels the mana into game-ending X-spells like Crackle with Power and Exsanguinate. Backup plans like Ancient Copper Dragon, Brash Taunter, and Bolas's Citadel provide strong alternative angles of attack if the commander is removed.
