Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive Dimir tempo and burn strategy helmed by Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow. It leverages a dense suite of thirteen zero- and one-mana evasive creatures to activate Commander Ninjutsu on Turn 2. Once on the battlefield, Yuriko and supporting Ninjas turn combat connections into explosive card advantage and asymmetric life drain across all opponents. The deck manipulates the top of the library with cards like Brainstorm, Lim-Dûl's Vault, and Mystical Tutor to consistently reveal high mana value spells such as Shadow of Mortality and Temporal Trespass, dealing massive chunks of damage while drawing replacement cards. A heavy complement of free and alternate-cost interaction, including Snuff Out, Flare of Denial, and Submerge, protects the board without stalling development. As a compact secondary win condition, the deck features the Thassa's Oracle and Demonic Consultation package to close out games directly when combat damage is contested.
