Dargo's Approach by Mendoza.m4

Format: Commander

Commander: Dargo, the Shipwrecker and Malcolm, Keen-Eyed Navigator

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Izzet deck harnesses Dargo, the Shipwrecker and Malcolm, Keen-Eyed Navigator to execute explosive burn and spell-based combo finishes. The primary strategy revolves around casting thirty copies of Dragon's Approach to burn all opponents simultaneously while tutoring game-ending threats directly into play. Malcolm generates massive Treasure piles whenever Pirate damage resolves, funding subsequent casts and storm turns. In addition to direct burn, the deck deploys several infinite combos, including Niv-Mizzet, Parun with Curiosity, type-changing effects like Maskwood Nexus paired with Weftstalker Ardent and Malcolm for infinite damage, and Phyrexian Altar loops with Dargo to generate boundless storm and mill.
