Deck overview

This Super Shredder deck is a focused mono-black aristocrats and Voltron attrition strategy that weaponizes permanent sacrifice to control the board and eliminate opponents. Super Shredder enters on Turn 2 and rapidly accumulates +1/+1 counters whenever any permanent leaves the battlefield—including friendly tokens, cracked Treasures, and opposing creatures. The deck leverages dense token generators like Bitterblossom and Ophiomancer alongside recursive fodder like Gravecrawler to fuel repeating edict effects such as Plaguecrafter, Grave Pact, and Braids, Arisen Nightmare. These engines systematically strip opposing boards of creatures while pumping Super Shredder into a double-digit menace powerhouse. Evasion and protection pieces like Commander's Plate, Shadowspear, and Tainted Strike enable rapid commander damage eliminations starting on Turn 4, while drain staples like Blood Artist and Gray Merchant of Asphodel close out life totals. The deck boasts resilient card flow and layered backup lines through Tergrid, God of Fright and Sephiroth, Fabled SOLDIER, dominating creature-centric pods.
