Deck overview

This deck pairs the mutate mechanic with infect creatures, using Illuna, Apex of Wishes as both a stat-boosting finisher and an engine piece. By casting Illuna for its mutate cost over cheap, non-Human infect creatures such as Plague Myr, Blight Mamba, or Ichorclaw Myr, the deck creates an evasive 6/6 flying, trample threat that inflicts 6 poison counters in a single swing while cheating additional permanents onto the battlefield. Supported by green-based ramp and blue interaction, the deck aims to establish this lethal clock by turn 5. Because damage is dealt through combat, eliminating all three opponents requires multiple turns, exposing large mutate stacks to targeted removal and board wipes. Efficient defensive spells and countermagic help protect the mutated threats as they close out the table.
