Deck overview

This Boros deck focuses on rapid Voltron combat built around Lightning, Army of One. Lightning combines first strike, trample, and lifelink with the potent Stagger ability, which doubles all damage dealt to an opponent once Lightning connects. When paired with double-strike enablers like Blade Historian or Lizard Blades, Lightning hits during the first strike step, triggers Stagger, and then deals double damage during the normal combat step. This interaction allows the deck to eliminate players in one or two combat swings. Supporting artifacts such as Conqueror's Flail, Sword of Feast and Famine, and Swiftfoot Boots protect the commander and untap mana for further development. Card flow is sustained through combat triggers and equipment synergy, while solid single-target removal and board wipes keep opposing threats in check until the table is cleared.
