Deck overview

This deck is a Dimir midrange and tempo build centered on Kang, Temporal Tyrant. The strategy focuses on establishing Kang on Turn 4, then attacking on subsequent turns to connive, grow Kang with +1/+1 counters, and trigger his second-card-draw life drain ability. The list supports this plan with a deep interactive package of creature removal, countermagic, and pacifism-style Auras that keep opposing boards under control while chipping away at life totals. Without fast mana or infinite combos, mana acceleration is modest, and the deck relies on surveil, self-mill, and one-shot draw spells to maintain card quality. Secondary threats like Doc Ock, Sinister Scientist and Venom, Evil Unleashed provide additional combat pressure once the graveyard is stocked. The deck wins by grinding out incremental resource advantages, protecting key beaters, and closing out the game through sustained combat and life drain.
