Deck overview

The deck is a Jeskai Hero tribal combat deck led by Captain America, Team Leader. Its normal plan is to ramp into the commander, deploy several Heroes, and use the commander's haste and vigilance trigger to turn new creatures into immediate attackers. Avengers Assemble! is the central payoff: it gives Heroes +2/+2 and draws cards at the end of turns in which the deck attacks or adds a Hero. Director Nick Fury, Jarvis, Earth's Mightiest Butler, Folk Hero, and Kindred Discovery provide additional selection or card flow. The deck has respectable spot removal and counter magic, plus some protection against destruction. Its main weakness is the lack of a compact, deterministic finish. War Machine, Avenging Arsenal, Thor, Asgard's Avenger, and the various Captain America cards can create threatening combat steps, but they require a board and repeated attacks. The deck therefore produces strong midgame pressure rather than a reliable fast win or hard lock.
