Deck overview

This Golgari deck leverages graveyard self-mill and sacrifice mechanics to eliminate all opponents simultaneously through non-combat life loss. The early game focuses on deploying efficient mana ramp and filling the graveyard with dredge engines like Golgari Grave-Troll and Stinkweed Imp. These milled cards fuel enormous power-scaling creatures such as Lord of Extinction, Boneyard Wurm, Splinterfright, and Souls of the Lost. The deck's primary win condition is Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord, who sacrifices these massive creatures to drain each opponent for life equal to their power. Additionally, Wall of Blood enables an instant-speed life-to-damage conversion for surprise lethal bursts. When direct sacrifice is contested, the deck easily pivots to trampling combat damage using Brawn and Garruk's Uprising. Robust recursion engines including Phyrexian Reclamation and Genesis ensure that key threats return repeatedly from the graveyard.
