Deck overview

This Grixis deck is led by Obeka, Splitter of Seconds, turning combat damage into extra upkeep steps. The strategy ramps early to deploy Obeka on Turn 3 or 4, equips her with unblockable or evasive equipment, and attacks to generate multiple post-combat upkeeps. These bonus upkeeps supercharge Court enchantments like Court of Ambition and Court of Ire, rapidly tick down suspended spells like Inevitable Betrayal and Inspiring Refrain, and trigger powerful value engines like Bonehoard Dracosaur and Chronozoa. The deck protects its commander using efficient counterspells, shroud, hexproof, and phase-out effects while slowing down opposing aggression with Propaganda and Silent Arbiter. Without relying on infinite combos, it steadily drains opposing life totals and empties opposing hands, closing the game around Turn 7 through overwhelming value and burn.
