Deck overview

This Esper life-gain control deck, helmed by Oloro, Ageless Ascetic, pursues a classic infinite-drain combo strategy. The primary win condition is the Exquisite Blood + Sanguine Bond loop (or any of the five interchangeable pieces on either side), which instantly drains all opponents. A secondary infinite mill line via Mindcrank + Bloodchief Ascension provides an alternate path. The deck controls the board with efficient removal, stax elements like Grand Abolisher, Narset, Parter of Veils, and Smothering Tithe, and protects its win turn with Teferi's Protection and a modest counterspell suite. Oloro's command-zone life gain and activated draw ability fuel card advantage and enable the life-gain payoffs present throughout the 99.
