Deck overview

This Bant deck uses Derevi, Empyrial Tactician to lead a dedicated Bird typal aggro-tempo strategy. The early game focuses on deploying low-cost flying creatures and cost-reducing Birds such as Watcher of the Spheres. Once Derevi and combat draw engines like Coastal Piracy and Curiosity Crafter enter the battlefield, each unblocked attacker untaps mana sources and replenishes the hand. In the mid game, the deck expands its board presence through token engines like Battle Screech, Choco, Seeker of Paradise, and Ancient Gold Dragon. As wide flying attacks trigger multiple untaps, the deck floats mana during combat to cast large anthems such as Banner of Kinship and Murmuration. The plan is defended by a robust suite of instant-speed protection, including Clever Concealment and Flawless Maneuver, and supported by bounce effects like Raise the Palisade to secure an unblockable multi-turn combat victory.
